Construction of the five infrastructure projects of Caraga State University Main Campus, namely: Street Lights, Covered Walk Phase III, Construction/Repair/Rehabilitation of Academic Buildings (University Hostel and S&T Building) and repair of various buildings are set by the third quarter of 2018.

In a bid to find the next rising technology-based start-ups such as Grab, Uber, or Lazada in Caraga State University (CSU), the Innovation and Technopreneurship Hub (ITecH) launched the two-month Technopreneurship Summer Camp 2018 which runs from June 11 to July 31, 2018 at the Mechatronics Building in CSU.
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension (OVPRE), through its Publication Unit trained forty-four (44) young and budding researchers in writing for journal publication. The training was done through the ‘Writeshop and Coaching Series on Crafting Publishable Research Papers’ conducted on June 20-22, and June 27-29, 2018 at Sarnimian Inland Resort Corporation, Rosario, Agusan del Sur.
CSU Environmental Science faculty Prof. Chime Mora-Garcia was one of the select participants from Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa to attenda three- week international training on Wetland, Integrated Water Resources Management for Food Security and Climate Change Resilience in Wageningen, Netherlands, June 04-22, 2018. The Public Information, Alumni and External Affairs (PIAEA) office and the Caraga State University Alumni Association Inc. (CSUAAI) had been advocating environmental protection and sustainability for years now. This alumni homecoming 2018, with host batch 1993, the group introduced plogging as one of its pre-homecoming activities. It is the first time in Mindanao that plogging has been done and we did it here in Caraga at Caraga State University.
