QuAMS ushers ISO 9001 Internal Quality Audit for the 1st Semester

On November 24, 2022 via Zoom teleconference, the Quality Assurance Management Services office headed by Dr. Fernando T. Herrera ushered for an internal audit at 9:00 in the morning onwards.

Caraga State University continually seeks ways to continuously improve the established quality management system. One important process defined by ISO 9001 and a part of the “Mandatory Procedure” is the conduct of Internal Audit. The Internal Quality Audit generally aims to assess the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) of the University and evaluate the implementation and maintenance of its processes.

The meeting was attended by the key officials, internal Auditors, and process owners. Dr. Herrera briefly run through an orientation about the Internal Quality Audit process to refresh the auditors and auditees. Internal auditors were given options to conduct the audit online or in-person.

The internal audit is a prelude to one of the agenda noted by CSU President Rolyn C. Daguil on his first Executive Committee meeting held at the Athenaeum in the Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC) last November 21, 2022, the Baseline Assessment of Internal Control Systems (BAICs). –JMDOtero/QuAMS/pico
