Caraga State University (CSU) placed 78th among all universities in the Philippines in the Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index's Top 1,000 Scientists for 2023. In a gesture of support for the education sector, Congressman Jose "Joboy" Aquino has donated two (2) grass cutters to the Caraga State University (CSU) Butuan Campus.

Last October 17, 2022, marked the opening of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) accreditation virtual survey visit in CSU. Ten curricular programs of the Caraga State University underwent accreditation to get to Levels I, II, III, and IV accreditation.
