November 12, 2018, Caraga State University undergoes another Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines AACCUP accreditation survey for its five programs. Second Survey for Master of Science in Information Technology, Master of Science in Education, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Bachelor of Science in Physics; for third survey visit Phase I- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
Accreditation has now become CSU’s way of life. In his opening remarks, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rolando N. Paluga in welcoming the accreditors mentioned that CSU has been constantly doing accreditation for quality purposes.
In his message, CSU President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso enumerated the advantages and benefits CSU gained from accreditation. CSU has been consistently receiving its PBB for the succeeding three years now. CSU has been Center of Excellence in Mathematics, Biology, and Information Technology. CSU have quantum leaped from SUC level II to SUC level IV, to mention some of its achievements. CSU is making its name for high quality education. Dr. Penaso also said, “CSU has no other way to go but forward and onward. We should aspire for quality and excellence workmanship. May we have an engaging, collaborative, fruitful and memorable accreditation.”
This month’s AACCUP Accreditation Survey Team is led by its Overall Coordinator Dr. Teresita B. Bayaron-DNSC with Dr. Elmer C. Buenavides-SKSU as Cluster Coordinator, Team Leaders Dr. Judith V. Barlaan- JRMSU, Dr. Marjorie P. Eslit-SSCT, Dr. Lynette A. Ejem-BukSU, and Dr. Lydia M. Morante-EVSU. Other members of the AACCUP team are: Dr. Randy S. Gamboa-USEP, Dr. Noel S. Gunay-MSU-GS, Dr. Danilo C. Galarion-USEP, Prof. Gresiel Ferrando- USEP, Prof. Reynerio B. Mendoza-LNU, Dr. Rosie Lynn P. Tejada-DNSC, Dr. Josefina M. Tabudlong-MSU-IIT, and Prof. Gemena C. Billano-SKSU.
Vice President for Research and Extension, Dr. Rowena P. Varela gave the closing remarks, and Dr. Fernando T. Herrera, QuAMs director with the VP for Administration, all the college deans, unit heads and committee members ushered the accreditation process.
Just last October 15-16, 2018, Caraga State University underwent AACCUP Accreditation survey visit for its programs for accreditation on Level 3 Phase 2 namely: Bachelor of Science in Biology, Bachelor in Agricultural Technology, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Bachelor of Elementary Education and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
