Recognizing the importance of mainstreaming volunteerism in the academe, Caraga State University formalized its partnership with the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on October 28, 2024.
With the partnership, CSU will integrate volunteerism into its academic and service-oriented programs to promote social responsibility and leadership among students, employees, and alumni. It will also lead the conducting of related research and assist in building volunteerism statistics with local partners.
Meanwhile, the PNVSCA, mandated to promote and coordinate volunteer programs and services in the Philippines, will assist CSU to further capacitate its volunteer service corps with information, materials, and international volunteer service organization linkages.
CSU President Rolyn C. Daguil, PhD and PNVSCA Executive Director Donald James D. Gawe led the ceremony, which took place during the LIKHA SUMMIT 2024, CSU’s platform for exploring and promoting innovations for sustainable development through research, development, and innovative practices.
