Engr. Nilo H. Calomot was recognized by the San Francisco Water District for his contribution to their watershed management initiatives, farm models, research, and formulation of management plans and programs. The award was given during the 30th founding anniversary of the local water district last July 3, 2018 at Mabis Convention Center, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.
Engr. Calomot had served as a consultant of the water district since 2000. Since then, he became a resource speaker in seminars about watershed, facilitator during workshops, and coordinator during trainings about water resources management.
Engr. Calomot is one of the prime movers of the Bachelor of Environmental Science and Master in Environmental Management programs of CSU. Currently, he is the project manager of the Lake Mainit Key Biodiversity Area Project in CSU which is being funded by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Caraga Region. He is also a lecturer in some courses in the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Masters in Environmental Management programs. CMG/piaea
