A memorandum of agreement between Caraga State University, represented by President Rolyn C. Daguil and Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology, represented by Chancellor Prof. Alizedney M. Ditaculan had been signed by the two parties on November 22, 2022, at the Conference Room of the College of Engineering and Technology, Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT).
The primary purpose of the collaboration is the establishment of the MIRROR LAB for the MICROELECTRONICS PROGRAM to CSU, of which MSU-IIT will provide support in procuring the Industry-Standard Integrated Circuit (IC) Design software tools and, among others stipulated in the MoA for the research collaboration and cooperation of the partner university.

Lovely Mae Dagsa-PLIC Manager, Engr. Rovil S. Berido, Engr. Ydron Paul C. Amarga, Engr. Joshua E. Erojo, Engr. Edgardo Ricardo B. Sajonia, Mr. Alvin M. Sevilla, M.Sc. - RDE Director and Engr. Elroe D. Anunciado - Simulation Lab In-Charge & CIDR Faculty Trainee.
The MOA signing event was part of “Project 4: Multiple Energy Harvesting Technologies for battery-less IoT Device Operation” under the “Center for Integrated Circuits and Devices Research (CIDR). USTP-CDO delegates headed by Chancellor Atty. Dionel O. Albina was also present to establish the same partnership with MSU-IIT.
The Caraga State University has joined neighboring SUCs in delivering highly qualified graduates in IC design effectively enhancing the instruction of Microelectronics elective courses through the CIDR Project.
