The Forum set forth of the newly created department of the Republic of the Philippines, Department of Information and Communications Technology is very timely for today’s young generation with regards to ICT. There aresort of speakers who diversely presented their topics for the two (2) day event. On the first day, the Director of the National ICT Competency Management Service in the person of Mr. Raul N. Nilo opened the forum by providing insight on the their office is doing, the NCM, whose big role in the transformation of society through ICT. Mr.
Dr Julian F. Cacho is the first-ever ‘Balik Scientist’ hosted by CSU. His engagement with CSU as Balik Scientist under the Department of Science and Technology’s Balik Scientist Program is facilitated by the DOST-PCIEERD. As Balik Scientist, he conducted training and lectures on recent trends in Biosystems Engineering for the faculty especially those from the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) and the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR). Participants from agencies outside of the University were also invited to the training and lectures.
Caraga State University tops the 2016 Mining Engineering Licensure Examination. CSU gets top 9 in the person of Engr. Vince Ivan F. Libao garnering 87.60% and top 1 in the person of Engr. Nestor dela Cerna Opeña, Jr. with a passing rate of 89.80%.
The Association of College of Engineering and Information Technology Students (ACEITS), the official organization of the CEIT students, conducted a Summer Leadership and Management Academy last April 29-30 and May 1, 2011 at Mansand Beach Resort in Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.
