Some Caraga State University faculty and students attended an Online Study in Taiwan Series and Demonstration of Mandarin Teaching in partnership with the National Quemoy University (NQU) and Taiwan Education Center (TEC).
A primer was given to the participants for them to know the background of the course.Leaders of both universities were then introduced. Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, CSU President enthusiastically acknowledged the partners and participants. The event aims to extend partnership with the National Quemoy University on institutional development and progress.
Dr. Xu, Yu-Min, the Director of Chinese Language Center of Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs (OICA), National Quimoy University (NQU) was the speaker of the Online Mandarin Teaching. She taught everyone the basics of Mandarin language andshared her acquired knowledge in Chinese Literature.
Dr. Yvonne Yu-Fang Yen, Dean of the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs, shared the exclusive scholarship that NQU is offering to Caraga State University. A number of questions were raised by the interested CSU participants that the NQU professional accommodated with gusto. The National Quemoy University strives to fulfill its role as a vital portal for academic, cultural, and educational exchange.
A virtual group photo ended the very pleasant interaction with the National Quemoy University professionals. CSU through President Penaso expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be with the NQU people. It is envisioned that fruitful collaborations may follow as a path have been initially marked for the two universities to tread. MPB/pico
