To align its research initiatives with the national economic and social targets, the Caraga State University developed its research, development, innovation, and extension (RDIE) agenda for the next five years (2025-2030) anchored on the Philippine Development Plan (PDP), Caraga Regional Development Plan and the university’s LIKHA Agenda.

Vice President for RDIE Jeffrey T. Dellosa, D.Eng. opened the two-day activity on December 3, emphasizing that CSU’s role extends to broader social responsibility through research and innovation.

An innovative, artificial intelligence-powered stroke detection system project of BS Information Technology (IT) students from Caraga State University Information won 3rd runner-up in the Philippine Startup Challenge National Competition on December 3, 2024.

The College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) team comprises Francis John Saul Tin-ao, Rhea Bete, and Angelo Galope, mentored by James Earl Cubillas. Their project aims to provide faster and cost-effective diagnosis for stroke patients, addressing a critical healthcare gap.

The Caraga State University, DENR-Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), and Local Government Unit-Ampayon formalized their partnership to protect and pursue environmental developments of the Ampayon Creek, a significant waterway inside the campus that drains through the Agusan River.

The Caraga State University brings free medical consultation and testing to employees within the campus in partnership with Rivera Healthcare Clinic, an accredited Philhealth Konsulta provider.

The Universal Healthcare Services hosted at the Conference Hall, Administration Building, include urinalysis, electrocardiogram, blood sugar testing, and free medication, among others, running from November 27 until 29, Friday.

Employees are encouraged to avail of the services, which only require their Philhealth ID cards or a copy of Member Data Record (MDR) to register.
