The Caraga State University Alumni Association Incorporated (CSUAAI) with the Alumni Relations Office and Public Information Office of the University heighten its environmental sustainability advocacies through its alumni homecoming activities.

On May 17, 2019 for its first day activity, the Public Information Office and Alumni Relations Office with the CSUAAI and the host batch spearheaded the following activities: Forest Healing Walk and Talk, and Litter Picking, Sky and Cloud Gazing, and its Grow your own food project. The activities were done at the 32 hectares land owned by the Caraga State University.

The event started with an orientation and information awareness campaign led by ARO and PICO Director, Dr. Sonia R. Low and CSUAAI BOR Alumni Representative and incumbent CSUAAI President, Mr. Gerry Joey S. Laurito.

CSU Alumni Homecoming 2019 shouts out: Stop Polluting Mother Earth! Followed by hashtags:  #Heal the Earth, #Grow a Tree, #Nurture the Forest, # Plant your own Food, and #Live Green.

CSU President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso welcomed the CSU alumni with passion and vision. He encouraged the alumni to be actively involved in the CSU’s journey to excellence. He noted the approval of the alumni request of the 1000 square meters lot area for the envisioned alumni house or the “Ba’ay Hung Alumni” which is also one of the alumni top projects.

“You can share your own batch resources by putting them together in the building of your envisioned alumni house. One batch may begin with the fencing of the area, another one may start setting the first foundation, and the others may follow as well,” Dr. Penaso further stated. May 17, 2019. RMG/pico
