The Gold Panicles is the Official Student Publication of Caraga State University (CSU)-Main Campus. The office is independent by function and administration from other student organizations. It does not actively promote particular political, religious parties and other ideologies. The official domicile of the office is within the premises of CSU-Main Campus, Butuan City.
Mandate and Core Values
The office is mandated to maximize its leadership and influence to foster and enhance the attainment of the goals of institutional, regional, and national development. The office shall support the University in the quest for educational excellence, in the improvement of instruction, promotion of research, and involvement in meaningful activities of the community. The office has the following Core Values:
Freedom of expression, which subsumes free speech, press and assembly, is an unalienable and a cherished right that is enshrined and guaranteed by the Philippine Constitution and existing laws, national policies and democratic traditions.
Freedom of expression is the mother of all human rights and for as long as this freedom exist, violation of other rights can be prevented and denounced.
Freedom of expression, like other human rights, is not absolute or unbounded: the right to impose the correlative duty to exercise it, responsibility with due regards for rights of others in the larger interest of harmony and welfare of society and precludes mob rule.
The office serves as the official organ of the students of CSU, anchored on the principles of the freedom of the press. The office is by the students, for the students, and through the students.
